BMW Beamer

BMW Beamer

Who has the upper hand BMW or Mercedes-Benz? Well, let’s see how the battle between the German guys turns out.

The Bayerische Motoren Werke AG had been producing the hunky kidney grilled roadsters since 1917. Very recently they have come up with their recently face lifted super hunk BMW 335d. The fellow competitor Mercedes-Benz has launched their newly built Merc machine, the Mercedes c300.

Both being international brands will do whatever they can to be the front runners in the class of super luxury sedan cars. With the introduction of these, the brand Toyota faced a strong fall in the sales of their auto brand Lexus in many states of the US. But who really is at the number one spot? Is it the beamer guys or is it the Merc engine? Lets us discuss which of these two, the BMW 328i or Merc C300, is the best?

BMW 328i

I personally drove the beamer way back in mid 2012 at the Abu Dhabi international Aerodrome. The chassis and the engine side seemed super cool. I could feel the engine power being transferred onto the wheels from the accelerator as I speed through the wet misty track of the Aerodrome. I could really feel the adrenaline levels pumping up.

The Goodyear tires rendered me awesome road grip and traction even on that wet surface. The 225/45 R18 Goodyear tires were pliable and ran flat on the wet slippery roads. But the 320i braking

system was a bit disappointing. The tires had a tendency to roll even after the brakes were applied.

The pros of BMW 320i: The 2012 BMW 320i is powered with a 245bhp and 350Nm 2.0-liter turbocharged fuel efficient diesel engine. It offers better fuel efficiency than the former versions of the beamer with very little compromise on the engine performance. The new intelligent drive technology, iDrive offers better drive assistance and the detailed map system offered by the hard drive based navigation unit makes it perfect for the city roads and interstate roads. The all new face lifted BMW comes integrated with iPod and Bluetooth phone support ports. The designer Chris Bangle has perfected the car flawless.

The cons: The base model of the BMW is priced somewhere around 33K pounds, around 2k pounds more than the merc version.

The BMW is bloody sports plus a city ride car. Go for it if you are a diehard kidney grill fan.

Mercedes c300: the perfect machine on wheels

Mercedes and BMW are two sides of the same coin here; the coin represents innovation in automobile technology. Now let us see how innovative the all new recently launched Mercedes machine is.

The Mercedes beast comes loaded with a solid hard cover body with bullet-proof mechanicals. The chiseled masculine body lines running from one edge of the beaming head lamps to the trail end rear lamps make it the perfect roadster.

Pros of Mercedes c300

The Mercedes Benz is powered by a diverse engine. The engine is compact and is scrupulously engineered to perfection. The car offers better and refined handling on the roads. It has a superior braking system and is perfectly engineered to steer through the steepest curves. The power packed engine offers excellent fuel economy on the interstate roads. Feel and experience the rip-roaring C63 AMG model. Wroom…wroo..mm spent a “few” dollars and experience the thrill behind being the wheels of C63 AMG model.

Cons

Mercedes-Benz c300
